Nov 06, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX News Network) -- 11/6/2009 - AT&T (NYSE:T) completed its purchase of Centennial Communications Corp for $945 million, according to a Bloomberg report. The acquisition will bolster the mobile-telephone company's coverage of the U.S. Midwest, Southeast and Puerto Rico. The FCC said yesterday that regulators approved the acquisition with conditions. AT&T will be required to honor existing agreements made with other companies to complete calls over Centennial's network, limit contact with Puerto Rico competitor America Movil SAB, and complete divestitures required by the Justice Department.
