Nov 04, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX News Network) -- 11/3/2009 - Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Taiwan's economics ministry said that they will set up a research center by next year to establish and expand its foray into the Asian cloud computing market, according to a Reuters report. CEO Steve Ballmer said during a recent visit to Taipei that the Software and Services Excellence Center will focus on developing its relationships with its contract manufacturing partners. He said, "We need to keep our ability to really work with our ODM (original design manufacturing) and OEM (original equipment manufacturing) partners on what the devices will look like."
