Nov 04, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX News Network) -- 11/4/2009 - Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) said its affiliate TonenGeneral and Toray Industries will establish a joint venture to develop, manufacture, and sell lithium ion battery separator film and introduce next generation films to the market. The film allows for the units to operate at higher temperatures with a reduced risk of meltdown. Each company will own a 50% interest in the joint venture and will be headquartered in Tokyo.
