Oct 28, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX News Network) -- Starbucks and its ex-employee Paul Twohig have resolved the lawsuit that was filed against him after he took up a job at Dunkin' Donuts, according to media reports.
According to the agreement Mr Twohig had with Starbucks, he was not allowed to join a rival company for a period of 18 months after his resignation.
As part of the settlement, Mr Twohig will complete initial training at Dunkin' Donuts but will otherwise not work at the company until January 15, 2010. In addition Starbucks will be paid $500,000.
Mr Twohig also reportedly reconfirmed his commitments not to share Starbucks trade secrets and other confidential information with Dunkin' at any time.
