Oct 27, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX News Network) -- 10/27/2009 - A new feature included with Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) controversial Voice service will allow users to switch without leaving their old phone number, according to a Reuters report. Until now, users had to obtain a special Google phone number, but group product manager at Google Craig Walker said that the company will now give people a code to enter in to the phone that allows the call to be bypassed to a Google Voice mailbox. He said that no special deals were made with carriers for this feature.
